Creamy Mushroom Pasta Recipe

Indulge in this rich and creamy Mushroom Pasta! Packed with sautéed mushrooms, garlic, and Parmesan cheese, it's the perfect comfort food for any day.
Ingredients
- 250 g pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 250 g mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup milk
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Extra Parmesan for serving
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.
- Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Sauté the onion for 2–3 minutes until soft, then add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden brown and tender.
- Pour in the heavy cream and milk, stirring well.
- Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, chilli flakes, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the cheese melts into a smooth, creamy sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta and toss until evenly coated. If needed, add a little reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.
- Cook for 1–2 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
Serving Suggestion
Serve hot with garlic bread, a fresh green salad, or roasted vegetables for a delicious and satisfying meal.
